The BB-8 is a very well made droid. It is very solid and looks just like it does in the movies. The paint job is also very good. My only complaint is that it does show fingerprints quite easily.
The app that controls the droid is very user friendly and easy to use. There are a few different modes that you can use the droid in. The Explore mode is probably the most fun. In this mode, you can make the droid go anywhere you want. It will avoid obstacles and even go up and down stairs.
