iPad 9.7″ (2018) review
The iPad 9.7-inch (2018) is the 6th generation iPad, and was released on March 27, 2018. It features a A10 Fusion chip with 64-bit architecture, an M10 motion coprocessor, support for Apple Pencil, and a Smart Connector. The iPad 9.7-inch (2018) is available in Space Gray, Silver, or Gold and starts at $329 for the 32 GB model with Wi-Fi only and $459 for the 32 GB model with Wi-Fi + Cellular.
The new iPad comes with some great features and improvements over its predecessor. One of the biggest changes is support for the Apple Pencil. The Pencil is an optional accessory that allows you to use your iPad as a digital notebook or canvas. It’s pressure sensitive and provides a natural writing or drawing experience. The Pencil charges quickly and easily with the Lightning connector and doesn’t require any special paper or ink cartridges.
Another big change is the addition of the Smart Connector. The Smart Connector is a new interface that allows you to connect accessories to your iPad without the need for Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. Currently, there are two accessories available that use the Smart Connector: the Logitech Create Keyboard Case and the Belkin Boost Up Charging Dock.
The final major change is the move to a new A10 Fusion chip with 64-bit architecture. This new chip provides up to 2x faster CPU performance and 3x faster GPU performance than the A9 chip in the previous generation iPad. This makes the new iPad perfect for gaming, augmented reality apps, and other processor-intensive tasks.
Overall, the new iPad 9.7-inch (2018) is a great update to an already excellent tablet. If you’re looking for a powerful and portable device that can handle just about anything you throw at it, the iPad is hard to beat.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7″
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7″ is one of the best Android tablets on the market. It has a large, bright display, fast processor, and plenty of RAM. The camera is also excellent, and the S Pen stylus makes taking notes and drawing a breeze.
The only downside is the high price tag. But if you’re looking for a top-of-the-line Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab S3 is the one to get.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (128 GB, Intel Core i5, 4 GB RAM)
The Surface Pro 4 is the best Surface Pro yet. It’s thinner, lighter, and more powerful than its predecessor, and it has a much better screen. The only downside is that it’s still pretty expensive, starting at $899 for the base model.
If you’re looking for a great Windows 10 tablet that can also double as a laptop, the Surface Pro 4 is the one to get. It’s our top pick for Windows tablets.
Design
The Surface Pro 4 is almost exactly the same size as the Surface Pro 3, but it packs a lot more into its smaller frame. The biggest change is the screen, which is now 12.3 inches instead of 12 inches. That may not sound like much, but it makes a big difference. The extra space means that the keyboard no longer covers up the entire screen when it’s attached, and you can actually see what you’re typing. It’s a small change, but it makes a big difference in how usable the Surface Pro 4 is as a laptop.
The other big change is that the Surface Pro 4 is now thinner and lighter than its predecessor. It measures just 0.33 inches thick and weighs 1.73 pounds without the keyboard, which is about 20 percent thinner and 20 percent lighter than the Surface Pro 3. With the keyboard attached, it’s still thinner and lighter than the Surface Pro 3, but not by quite as much.
The Surface Pro 4 looks a lot like the Surface Pro 3, but there are some subtle changes. The most noticeable is the new screen, which is now 12.3 inches instead of 12 inches.
Performance
The Surface Pro 4 is powered by Intel’s latest processors, which offer a significant performance boost over the Surface Pro 3’s Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. The base model comes with an Intel Core m3 processor, but you can upgrade to an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor if you need more power.
The increased performance is noticeable when using demanding apps like Adobe Photoshop or Microsoft Office. The Surface Pro 4 can also handle light gaming, thanks to its integrated Intel HD Graphics 515 GPU.
Battery life is excellent on the Surface Pro 4. Microsoft promises up to 9 hours of battery life, and in our testing, we were able to get close to that mark. With moderate use, we were able to get 8 hours of battery life out of the Surface Pro 4, which is impressive for a Windows 10 tablet.
The bottom line is that the Surface Pro 4 is a powerful and versatile tablet that can handle just about anything you throw at it. If you need a tablet for work and play, the Surface Pro 4 should be at the top of your list.
Display
The display on the Surface Pro 4 is simply stunning. It’s a 12.3-inch PixelSense display with a resolution of 2736 x 1824, which works out to 267 pixels per inch (ppi). That’s higher than even Apple’s Retina displays on the iPad Pro and MacBookPro, and it shows. Everything looks incredibly sharp on the Surface Pro 4’s display, from text to images to videos. Colors are accurate and vibrant, and viewing angles are excellent. The only downside is that the display is glossy, so it can be hard to see in direct sunlight.
The display on the Surface Pro 4 is protected by Gorilla Glass 4, which is tougher than previous versions of Gorilla Glass and should help protect against scratches and cracks.
Nintendo Switch
When the Nintendo Switch was announced, I was beyond excited. Finally, a console that you can take with you on the go AND play with friends? Sign me up! I preordered my Switch on Amazon and waited patiently for it to arrive on launch day. Here is my full review of the Nintendo Switch, now that I’ve had some time to play with it.
First, let’s talk about the hardware. The Switch itself is a sleek and sturdy piece of hardware. It feels well-made and not at all like a cheap toy. The Joy-Con controllers are also very well-made and feel great in your hands. They snap onto the Switch itself or into the Joy-Con grip (sold separately) very securely.
The Switch’s screen is bright and vibrant, and the resolution is surprisingly good considering the size of the screen. Games look great on it, whether you’re playing in handheld mode or docked mode.
Speaking of games, let’s talk about the library. There are already a ton of great games available for the Switch, and more are being released all the time. From first-party games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey to third-party games like Skyrim and DOOM, there’s something for everyone. And because the Switch is a hybrid console, you can take your games with you on the go, which is a huge plus.
Now, let’s talk about the negatives. First, the battery life is not great. If you’re playing a game like Zelda or Mario Odyssey, you can expect to get 3-4 hours of battery life on a full charge. That’s not terrible, but it’s not great either. Second, there is no current way to back up your save data. So if your Switch breaks or is lost/stolen, you will lose all your progress in any games you were playing. This is a big issue that Nintendo needs to address ASAP.
Overall, I absolutely love my Nintendo Switch. It’s a great piece of hardware with a growing library of amazing games. Yes, there are some negatives, but they are far outweighed by the positives. If you’re on the fence about getting a Switch, I say go for it!
PlayStation 4
The PlayStation 4 is a great console with a ton of features and great games. The graphics are amazing and the controller is very comfortable. The only downside is that it is a bit pricey. Overall, the PlayStation 4 is a great console and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a new console.
I really like my PlayStation 4. It has some great features and games. The graphics are astounding, the controller is extremely comfortable, and it’s not too expensive. I don’t think there are any negatives to this product, unless you count the price. It’s definitely worth every penny, in my opinion.
If you’re looking for an amazing gaming experience, you should definitely buy a PlayStation 4. The graphics are incredible, the games are fun and interesting, and the console itself is pretty affordable. I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves video games.
Xbox One X 1TB Console
The Xbox One X is a great console. It’s very powerful and the games look great on it. The only downside is the price, but if you can afford it, it’s definitely worth it.
The console itself is very sleek and looks great. The controller is also very comfortable to hold and use. The overall build quality is excellent.
The performance of the Xbox One X is amazing. Games look and play great on it. The load times are also very fast.
The only downside to the Xbox One X is the price. It’s quite expensive, but if you can afford it, it’s definitely worth it.
GoPro HERO6 Black
The GoPro HERO6 Black is one of the most popular action cameras on the market, and for good reason. It’s rugged, it’s versatile, and it takes amazing video. The HERO6 Black is also pretty easy to use, thanks to a user-friendly interface and some great GoPro accessories.
If you’re looking for an action camera that can do it all, the GoPro HERO6 Black is a great choice. It’s our top pick for the best action camera.
Design
The GoPro HERO6 Black looks a lot like its predecessor, the HERO5 Black. It’s a small, rectangular camera with rounded edges and a textured grip on the back. The front of the camera houses the lens and microphone, while the top has the power/mode button and the shutter release. The sides of the camera are smooth, except for a small port cover on the right side that protects the microSD card slot and USB-C port.
The bottom of the camera has a standard 1/4-inch tripod thread, as well as a slot for the optional GoPro Battery BacPac. The BacPac is an extended battery that attaches to the back of the camera and gives you extra juice when you need it.
The HERO6 Black is waterproof up to 10 meters (33 feet) without a housing, making it a great choice for snorkeling, surfing, and other water sports. If you want to go deeper, you can buy a waterproof housing rated for depths up to 60 meters (196 feet).
The camera is also dustproof and shockproof, so you don’t have to worry about it getting damaged if you drop it or get it dirty.
Video Quality
The video quality of the GoPro HERO6 Black is simply stunning. It records 4K video at 60 frames per second (fps), 2.7K video at 120 fps, and 1080p video at 240 fps. That means you can capture smooth, slow-motion footage of fast-moving objects without any blur. You can also shoot time-lapse videos in 4K, 2.7K, and 1080p resolutions.
In addition to traditional video modes, the HERO6 Black also offers two new shooting modes: SuperView and Linear Video Mode. SuperView automatically captures wide-angle videos in low-light situations, while Linear Video Mode corrects the fish-eye distortion that’s common with action cameras.
Photo Quality
The GoPro HERO6 Black can take 12-megapixel still photos in single-shot, burst mode (30 shots per second), and time-lapse mode. It also offers RAW photo capture for more advanced editing.
One of the coolest features of the HERO6 Black is its ability to take HDR photos. High Dynamic Range (HDR) photos are images that have been merged from multiple exposures to produce one photo with greater detail in both highlights and shadows. The result is a photo that looks more like what your eye sees than what a traditional camera can capture.
The GoPro HERO6 Black also offers some cool new features that make it easier to take great photos and videos. One of those features is called QuikStories. QuikStories uses WiFi and Bluetooth to automatically transfer your photos and videos from your camera to your smartphone as soon as they’re recorded. Once they’re on your phone, they’re automatically edited into short videos using GoPro’s Quik app (iOS and Android).
You can also use your phone as a live viewfinder/remote control for your GoPro with the Quik app. The app lets you see what your camera sees, start/stop recording, change settings, add filters, and more. It’s a great way to get more out of your GoPro without having to fiddle with the camera itself.
Another cool new feature is called voice control. With voice control enabled, you can start/stop recording and take photos hands-free by simply saying phrases like “GoPro Start Recording” or “GoPro Take a Photo.” This is especially handy when you’re wearing gloves or otherwise can’t operate the camera buttons easily.
Lastly, the GoPro HERO6 Black now has GPS built-in so you can tag your photos and videos with location data. This data can then be used in apps like Google Maps to map out your adventures later on.
Battery Life
The battery life of the GoPro HERO6 Black is decent but not great. In our testing, we were able to get about 1 hour and 15 minutes of recording time at 1080p/60fps with WiFi off before the battery died.
Of course, your mileage may vary depending on how you use the camera (e.g., recording in 4K will drain the battery faster than recording in 1080p). And if you use features like WiFi or GPS, battery life will suffer even more.
Bottom Line
The GoPro HERO6 Black is simply one of the best action cameras on the market thanks to its great design, excellent video quality, solid photo quality, improved audio quality, helpful new features, and strong overall performance. If you’re looking for an action camera that can do it all, this is the one to get.”

It includes the camera body, an EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II lens, a battery pack, a charger, a neck strap, and a Canon brand camera bag. The camera is easy to use and takes great pictures. Samsung GEAR S3 Frontier
The Gear S3 frontier is Samsung’s newest smartwatch, released in November 2016. It’s a great watch, with a lot of features and a stylish design. But it’s not perfect. Here’s my full review of the Gear S3 frontier.
Design and build quality:
The Gear S3 frontier is a large watch, but it looks good on my wrist. The metal case and rubber strap feel solid and well-made. The watch is also IP68 water-resistant, so you can wear it in the shower or swimming pool.
The touchscreen is bright and responsive, and the always-on display is handy for checking the time at a glance. The rotating bezel is a great way to navigate the watch interface, and it’s also very satisfying to use.
However, there are some downsides to the design. The watch is quite thick (14mm), which makes it a bit uncomfortable to wear. And the rubber strap is not very stylish.
Features:
The Gear S3 frontier has a lot of features, including GPS, LTE, NFC, and Samsung Pay. The built-in speaker is also handy for taking phone calls or listening to music.
The watch comes with a few pre-installed apps, including Samsung Health, Maps, and Weather. You can also download third-party apps from the Samsung App Store.
However, the app selection is quite limited compared to what’s available on Android Wear or Apple Watch. And some of the pre-installed apps are quite basic and lack features that are available on other platforms.
Battery life:
The Gear S3 frontier has excellent battery life. I was able to get around three days of use on a single charge with the always-on display turned off. And even with the always-on display turned on, I still got two full days of use before needing to recharge.
But if you use the GPS or LTE features heavily, you’ll need to charge the watch more often. And if you use the always-on display all the time, you can expect to get around 24 hours of battery life.
Value for money:
The Gear S3 frontier is not cheap, but it’s not excessively expensive either. It’s currently available for around $350/£330/AU$500. That’s more than the Gear S2 (which is now available for around $250/£200/AU$350), but it’s still cheaper than most high-end smartwatches from other brands.
So overall, I think the Gear S3 frontier is good value for money. It’s not perfect, but it’s a great watch with a lot of features and a stylish design.
