Nintendo Switch
The Nintendo Switch is a home video game console developed by Nintendo, unveiled on October 20, 2016 and released on March 3, 2017. It is a hybrid console which can be used as both a home console and portable device.
The main unit of the Switch is the “Switch Console”, which is a tablet-like device that has an 6.2-inch (15.7 cm) capacitive multitouch display. The console itself has a two-part detachable Joy-Con controller attached to either side of the console. The main unit is placed in a docking station to connect to a television for home gaming, or can be removed from the dock for use as a portable handheld using its built-in kickstand. Both the Switch Console and Joy-Con controllers contain motion sensors and rumble motors, and the left Joy-Con controller contains an NFC reader for use with Amiibo figurines.
The Switch uses a custom Tegra processor chip from Nvidia. The system memory is 4 GB of RAM, with 32 GB of internal storage and support for up to 2 TB of external storage via USB 3.0 ports. The Switch supports video output at resolutions up to 1080p via HDMI; audio is supported through stereo speakers or headphones connected via a 3.5 mm jack. Wi-Fi connectivity is available only in docked mode, and the console can connect to the Internet using a wired Ethernet connection.
The Switch was initially released on March 3, 2017, in Japan, North America, Europe, Hong Kong, and other major regions. A left-handed Switch version was released in Japan on April 20, 2017.
PlayStation 4
The PlayStation 4 is a home video game console developed by Sony Computer Entertainment. Announced as the successor to the PlayStation 3 during a press conference on February 20, 2013, it was launched on November 15 in North America, November 29 in Europe, South America and Australia, and February 22, 2014, in Japan. It competes with Microsoft’s Xbox One and Nintendo’s Wii U and Switch.
The console’s controller was also improved over the PlayStation 3, with improved buttons and analog sticks, and an integrated touchpad among other changes. The console also supports HDR10 High-dynamic-range video and playback of 4K resolution multimedia. The PlayStation 4 places an increased emphasis on social interaction and integration with other devices and services, including the ability to play games off-console on PlayStation Vita and other supported devices (“Remote Play”), the ability to stream gameplay online or to friends (“Share Play”). The console’s operating system also provides features such as a web browser. Following protracted negotiations between Sony Computer Entertainment and Microsoft over cloud gaming functionality, Sony announced that Remote Play between the PlayStation 4 and Xperia smartphones would be coming to the latter device in a future software update.
The PlayStation 4 was released to acclaim, with critics praising Sony for acknowledging its consumers’ needs, embracing independent game development, and for not imposing the restrictive digital rights management schemes similar to those announced by Microsoft for its Xbox One console. Critics also praised the capabilities of the PlayStation 4 in comparison to its competitors; developers described the performance difference between the consoles as “significant” and “obvious”. Strong sales of the console helped to recover Sony’s reputation as a dominant force in the video game industry after its large financial losses during the generation preceding it, caused in part by expensive development costs for its then current-generation console, the PlayStation 3. Xbox One
The Xbox One has been a revelation. I have never been an Xbox fan but the new features, design, and games available on this console have compelled me to purchase one. The user interface is fantastic and very easy to use. The party chat feature is awesome and the ability to record gameplay and share it with friends is awesome. The Kinect is very accurate and responsive and adds a whole new level of immersion to gaming. The only downside is that the console is very expensive but it is worth every penny.
The graphics on the Xbox One are incredible. The games look so realistic and the colors are so vibrant. I have never seen anything like it. The sound quality is also amazing. I can hear sounds that I never knew existed in games. The controller is very comfortable to hold and the triggers are very sensitive, which is great for first person shooters.
There are a ton of great games available on the Xbox One. Some of my favorites include Halo 5, Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. There are also a lot of great backwards compatible games from the Xbox 360 that are playable on the Xbox One, which is awesome.
Overall, I absolutely love my Xbox One. It is by far the best console that I have ever owned. The graphics are incredible, the games are great, and the overall experience is superb. If you are considering purchasing a new console, I would highly recommend the Xbox One.
Apple iPad

But times have changed. In the past few years, Android tablets have gotten a lot better, and there are now several excellent options available for those who want an alternative to the iPad. So does the iPad still hold up in 2020? I’ve been using one for the past week to find out.

The battery life on the iPad is still fantastic. I was easily able to get through a full day of use without having to recharge, and even with heavy use, I never had to worry about running out of juice before bedtime.
As far as software goes, iOS is still the best mobile operating system around. It’s simple to use, yet extremely powerful, and there are millions of apps available in the App Store. Whether you’re looking for a new game to play, a way to stay organized, or just a way to kill some time, you’ll find an app for that on iOS.
One area where the iPad has fallen behind in recent years is price. The entry-level model starts at $329, which is $100 more than the entry-level Kindle Fire and $200 more than the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite. If you want an iPad with cellular connectivity, you’re looking at an even higher price tag.
The bottom line is that the iPad is still the best tablet you can buy. It’s got a gorgeous design, blazing-fast performance, great battery life, and access to millions of apps. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth every penny if you’re looking for the best tablet experience possible.
Amazon Kindle Fire
The Kindle Fire is Amazon’s tablet. It’s an Android-based device with a 7-inch color touchscreen display, and it offers access to the Amazon Appstore, Kindle ebooks, Audible audiobooks, Prime Video, and Music. The current version of the Kindle Fire is the 7th generation, which was released in September 2015.
The Kindle Fire is a great value for the price. It’s just $49.99 for the 8GB model and $69.99 for the 16GB model. That’s much cheaper than other tablets on the market, making the Kindle Fire a great option for budget-minded shoppers.

Samsung Galaxy Tab
The Samsung Galaxy Tab is a great tablet for those who want a powerful device that is still portable.
